Digital marketing in the Quad Cities
WestRed Digital builds websites and handles SEO, Google Business Profiles, ads, social media and email for small businesses in Davenport, Bettendorf, Moline, Rock Island, East Moline and Silvis. Here's who we are, what we do, and how to decide whether you need any of it.
The short version
WestRed Digital is a website design and SEO shop in the Quad Cities. We started in 2026. Caleb Westerman does the websites and the search work, Brock Reddish handles sales and is the person you'll talk to first, and we're based in Silvis, Illinois. We're not related to Western Digital, the hard drive maker, despite what a search engine might guess. Websites and SEO are what we do most. We also manage Google Business Profiles, run Google Ads and Facebook ads, handle social media and email campaigns, and send a plain-English monthly report with everything.
Every new relationship starts the same way: you send us your website address, we take a free look at the site and at how your business shows up on Google, and we tell you what we'd fix first. No pitch deck, no contract to read first.
What we do
- Website design. Fast, phone-first websites that are set up for search before launch, with the domain and hosting in your business's name.
- SEO and local SEO. Fixing what search engines trip over on your site, then building the pages that answer what your customers ask, including showing up in Google Maps.
- AI search. Work aimed at being the business named when someone asks ChatGPT, Google's AI Overviews or Perplexity for a recommendation.
- Google Business Profile. Setup and monthly management of the listing behind the map results.
- Google Ads and Facebook ads. Paid campaigns when you need the phone ringing sooner than SEO can manage, with the budget always in your control.
- Social media and email. Staying in front of the people who already know you.
- Reporting. One report a month, in plain English, on what we did and what changed.
Where we work
The Quad Cities is one metro split across two states and the Mississippi, which is the one stretch where the river runs east to west. That matters for marketing more than people expect: a customer in Bettendorf will happily drive to Moline, but Google, your listings and your pages all need to be clear about which state you're in.
- Davenport, Iowa. The largest of the Quad Cities, with the downtown riverfront and the retail corridors along Kimberly Road and around NorthPark. Plenty of long-established businesses here have websites that predate phones being the main way people look them up.
- Bettendorf, Iowa. Growing neighborhoods and the business strips along State Street and Middle Road. Service businesses here compete with Davenport for the same searches, which makes a clean Google Business Profile especially important.
- Moline, Illinois. Home to John Deere's world headquarters, the Quad City International Airport, and the shopping along Avenue of the Cities. Lots of suppliers, trades and professional services, many of them without a page for each thing they do.
- Rock Island, Illinois. The Arsenal, Augustana College and a downtown district that has been rebuilding its storefronts. Restaurants, shops and services here live and die by the map results.
- East Moline, Illinois. Deere's Harvester Works and new development along the river at The Bend. A mix of industrial suppliers and neighborhood businesses.
- Silvis, Illinois. Where we're based, and home to TPC Deere Run. Small enough that we know the businesses along the main roads by name.
We'll meet in person anywhere in the metro, and we work with businesses further out in Iowa and Illinois remotely.
How to pick a digital marketing company here
You have options in the Quad Cities: a handful of agencies, some freelancers, and the national companies that cold-call. A few things separate the ones worth hiring, and none of them are about the size of the shop.
- They put things in writing. A plan and a price before work starts, and a report after. If you can't tell what you're buying, you can't tell whether you got it.
- You own your stuff. The domain, the hosting, the ad accounts, the Google profile. In your business's name, with the logins. Ask this before anything else.
- They won't promise rankings. Nobody controls Google. Anyone guaranteeing you the top spot is either describing a technicality or planning to disappoint you.
- They can explain what they did. In words you'd use, without the jargon. If the monthly report needs a translator, it isn't a report.
- They'll tell you what not to buy. A business with a decent site that nobody finds doesn't need a new site. A business with no customers coming back doesn't need Google Ads.
We wrote a longer version of this for websites specifically: what to look for in a website before you pay. It's meant to be useful whoever you end up hiring.
What it costs
We don't publish a price list, because the same service costs very different amounts depending on what you already have and how much of it needs doing. What we do promise is a price in writing before we start, no surprises after, and a straight answer if we think you don't need something. The free website review is exactly that: free, and it comes with our honest opinion of where we'd start.
Not sure what you need?
Our services page has a short "where to start" section that sorts it by situation. Or skip it and just send us your website. Telling you where to start is the part we're best at.
Questions
Common questions
What does a Quad Cities digital marketing agency do?
It builds and looks after the things that bring a local business customers online: your website, how you show up in Google search and Google Maps, paid ads, social media and email, and the reporting that tells you whether any of it worked. Not every business needs all of it, and a good agency will tell you which parts you can skip.
Are you located in the Quad Cities?
Yes. We are based in Silvis, Illinois, and we meet clients in person anywhere in the metro. That is worth asking any agency, because several of the companies that rank for Quad Cities searches are based in other towns or other states.
Can you help my business rank in both Iowa and Illinois searches?
Yes, and it is one of the things that makes this market odd. The Quad Cities is one metro split across two states, so your Google Business Profile, your listings and your pages all have to be clear about where you are while still reaching people across the river.
Do you only work with businesses in the Quad Cities?
No. Most of our work is local because we like meeting people in person, but everything we do can be done remotely, so businesses elsewhere in Iowa and Illinois are welcome.
How much does digital marketing cost for a Quad Cities small business?
It depends on what you already have and how much of it needs doing, which is why we do not publish a price list. What we do is look at your site for free, tell you what we would fix first, and give you a price in writing before any work starts.
How do I get my business into Google's local 3-pack map results?
The map results come from your Google Business Profile, not your website. Google says three things decide it: how well your profile matches the search, how close you are to the person searching, and how well known your business is. You cannot change the distance, so the work is on the profile, your reviews and the pages that back it up.
What is the difference between digital marketing, SEO, local SEO and AI search?
Digital marketing is the umbrella: everything you do online to get customers. SEO is the part that gets your website found in search. Local SEO aims that at people nearby, including Google Maps. AI search, sometimes called AEO or GEO, is about being the business named when someone asks ChatGPT or Google's AI for a recommendation.
